A popular hair and beauty salon in Woodhall Spa is celebrating an unforgettable weekend after taking home a collection of prestigious awards and qualifications.

Re:new Hair and Beauty by Expressions, co-owned by Wendy Griffin and Julie Charles, took the WeLove Purple Hearts event, held in Sandbanks, Dorset, by storm.

WeLove Purple Hearts Club is the professional body for the hair industry, and the two-day event brought together some of the leading professionals in the UK for an inspiring programme of education, recognition and celebration.

Several members of the Re:new team graduated from their latest Purple Hearts qualifications, showcasing the Coronation Road salon’s commitment to learning, training and raising standards.

And the salon also scooped many coveted awards, which recognised some of the best hairdressing talent in the entire country and highlighted excellence and professionalism.

Wendy herself and creative master stylist Laurie Davis even qualified as master educators, both achieving a distinction, and were officially registered with the Hair and Barber Council, which represented a fantastic milestone for Re:new.

Other team members made the finals of several highly competitive categories, including best salon, with Laurie bagging the colourist of the year title, just pipping a colleague, Demi Forrest.

Reflecting on the weekend, a delighted Wendy said: “We're incredibly proud of everything we've achieved.

"Education has always been at the heart of what we do, and to see the whole team recognised for their commitment, passion and hard work is amazing.

"Every qualification, every award and every finalist position reflect the dedication of our team to continually improve and deliver the very best for our clients.

Wendy and Julie set up the salon back in 2005. The weekend's achievements reinforced Re:new Hair and Beauty by Expressions' reputation as one of the UK's most forward-thinking salons, with an ongoing commitment to education, innovation and delivering exceptional standards.
