One of the projects is a proposed housing development for land east of Spilsby.

A meeting was held in May to discuss the first stage of the development

Representatives of Spilsby Town Council (STC) and ELDC heard from the prospective developers that archaeologist's and ecologists are presently on site.

ELDC planning officers are assisting the developers with a comprehensive planning application for an initial 450 homes and a proposed, much larger, replacement doctor's surgery.

It is hoped that a detailed planning application could be ready for submission sometime in October, with a possible start in the spring of 2021.

Coun Taylor said: "This will be one of the biggest single developments that ELDC has been involved with

and STC made it abundantly clear at the meeting how important it will be to engage with the people of Spilsby before and during the planning process.

"STC will be using the ‘Have Your Say’ survey and will invite residents, community groups, businesses and

larger industrial companies to make their representations to ensure the proposed development is able to enhance the vibrancy of the town.

"STC will be taking a completely impartial stance on this matter and will voice all the local opinion it receives

to the developers and district council planners."
