Butlin's Skegness up for 'Best UK Holiday Park' award for the second year running

Butlin’s Skegness is hoping to defend its ‘Best UK Holiday Park’ title at this year’s British Travel Awards – after being nominated for the second year running.

In 2025, the holiday resort was crowned the ‘Best Company’ for UK Parks & Lodges Holidays and the ‘Favourite Company’ for radio advertisements. After making the shortlist for these two categories again, the brand is hoping to defend its titles for 2026.

“This year marks a special year for Butlin’s, as it celebrates 90 years of entertaining the nation,” a spokesperson for the company said. “Celebrations have included an incredible fireworks and laser display marking the day Billy Butlin opened the Skegness site nine decades ago, alongside jam-packed line-ups of headline acts across family and Big Weekender breaks.”

This year’s winners will once again be decided by a public vote. The team in Skegness are now calling on loyal guests and the local community for their support before the vote closes on September 11.

Jon Hendry Pickup, CEO at Butlin’s added: “We were delighted to be crowned Best Company for UK Parks and Lodges Holidays, and Favourite Company for Radio Advertisements at the British Travel Awards in 2025. It was an incredible achievement for the entire Butlin’s team and fantastic way to kick-start our 90th birthday celebrations.

“To be shortlisted in these categories again is testament to the hard work of everyone at Butlin’s who make every break memorable, whether it’s on an adult-only Big Weekender or a family break. We’d really appreciate your votes, as we aim to finish our landmark year as defending champions.”

The British Travel Awards is the largest consumer-voted travel awards in the UK, recognising people, places and companies who are shaping the future of travel. Each year, over 400,000 voters choose the winners in over 90 categories.
