Santa brings joy to children at Ingoldmells market

All smiles for Santa at Hardys Market in Ingoldmells.

A fruit and veg stall at Hardys Market has been magically transformed into a grotto, where children can go along to meet Santa and receive a gift.

The idea came from Rob Stevens, who runs the food bank, who said he wanted to do something to make children smile during what has been a difficult time for many families.

"The grotto is free because we didn't want any children to miss out," said Rob.

"We are grateful to local businesses for their amazing generosity in donating the gifts.

"All we are asking is that families who can afford it bring along an item of food, such as a tin of beans, for the food bank.

"But we are aware there are families out there who are really struggling this year so it is not a necessity."
