Hidden Horncastle garden to open
The Manor House in Manor House Street will open for the first time in aid of the National Garden Scheme this Saturday, from noon to 4pm.
The informal spring garden and orchard is bordered by the River Bain and includes a short section of the 3rd or 4th Century wall that formed part of a Roman fort (Scheduled Ancient Monument), with the remnants of an adjacent medieval well.
Admission is £3, with children free.
