Teams to endure 24-hour padel playing challenge to support Skegness RNLI
A group of Skegness RNLI crew members, lifeguards and supporters are taking on a 24 hour padel-playing challenge to raise money for their life-saving work.
Several doubles teams will take to the courts at Skegness Padel, in Simon’s Yard, at 6pm tomorrow (Thursday, September 24), and play multiple matches thrugh the night until 6pm the next day.
Padel is a fast-paced racket sport, combining elements of squash and tennis.
The teams are attempting the feat of endurance to support the local lifeboat and lifeguards who help to keep people safe along our coast.

"We’ve got several pairs taking part, with two pairs on court at a time, keeping the games going right through the night and into Friday,” said Olivia Thein, lifeboat crew member.
“We’d love as many people as possible to come down and get behind us - whether that’s watching a few games, cheering everyone on, sponsoring a player, sharing the fundraiser or donating whatever you can. Every bit of support helps.”
