Build up of soot causes house fire in Potterhanworth
Firefighters were called to a chimney fire in a property at Potterhanworth yesterday evening (Wednesday).
A crew from Metheringham was called out to the fire in Moor Lane at 7.15pm.
Crew members used chimney gear and a thermal imaging camera to extinguish the burning embers.
Fire investigators say the damage was done from a build up of soot and clinker building up in the chimney.
