Neil Steven Gilbody, 28, of Priory Way, pleaded guilty to the offence - which took place in Fotherby between May and November last year - when he appeared at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on March 1.

The abuse was levelled at an elderly couple, and was reportedly linked to a dispute over parking.

Gilbody was ordered to pay a £420 fine and £620 in court costs, in addition to a £42 victim surcharge.

The court also imposed a restraining order, of indefinite length, which prohibits Gilbody from contacting the couple directly and also prohibits him from parking any vehicle on the white ‘H’ bars painted on the ground in front of the couple’s property.

A separate charge, which alleged that Gilbody had committed harassment against the couple, was dismissed as ‘no evidence’ was offered.
