Adrian Amer, prosecuting at Lincoln Crown Court, said Walster used the "rock, paper, scissor" game during his abuse and warned the victim they would be in serious trouble if she told anyone.

Mr Amer explained: "She told him a number of times it wasn't right and should not happen."

The court heard Walster, who was living in the Market Rasen area where he was working as a chef, handed himself in at Lincoln South Park police station on November 21, 2024.

Mr Amer said Walster made no comment about the specific allegations except to deny them.

However, messages and internet searches made by Walster linked him to the offending.

The victim, who can not be named to protect her anonymity, read out a number of impact statements in court from behind a screen.

"The police investigation has been really hard for me and has felt like a bad dream," she said.

She described a desire to re-build her life but added: "I hope he goes to prison for a long time so this does not happen to anyone else."

The court heard Walster, now of Lincoln Prison, had already spent several months on remand in prison after admitting his offending and was using his time in jail constructively.

Passing sentence on Friday, September 11, Judge Simon Hirst told Walster he was considered a high risk to children and had taken steps to prevent his victim telling anyone.

"She wanted to die at one point and more recently was having flashbacks," Judge Hirst explained.

Walster was also made the subject of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order and a restraining order which prevents any contact with the victim and her family.
