'Frustrated' and 'disheartened' Boston business reports theft of stock worth £1,000-plus - police appeal for information
A ‘frustrated’ and ‘disheartened’ Boston business has reported a theft totalling more than £1,000.
On Friday (April 10), the Turnbull – Boston Plumbing & Heating Supplies Facebook page posted that stock worth more than £1,000 had been stolen from its Nelson Way branch earlier that day.

Speaking to The Standard today, branch manager Charlie Stafford said: “This incident has had a real impact on the branch and the team, who work hard to achieve their targets day in, day out. To have something like this happen is both frustrating and disheartening for everyone involved.”
“During the incident, staff were also subjected to intimidating behaviour, which is unacceptable in any workplace,” he added.
Mr Stafford said the items taken included heating controls, plumbing fittings and related materials, ‘products that are essential to our trade customers’, he said.
He explained by going public with the theft, he hoped it would not only help police, but also raise awareness among other businesses in the area of such criminal activity.
“At a time when businesses are already facing increasing costs and pressures, theft has a direct impact on our team and customers,” he said. “By highlighting this, we hope other businesses remain vigilant and can help prevent similar incidents.”
Police are appealing for help in identifying two men in an image included as part of the post.
“We believe they may have information that will assist our inquiries or information that will assist in recovering the stolen property,” a spokesman said.
The theft is reported to have taken place between 10.45am and 10.50am, police added.
