Officers appealing for witnesses after two attempted break ins

A mobile phone repair shop had three panes of glass smashed.

The noise disturbed a neighbour who called police (Incident Number 47 of 14 March).

Officers on patrol also discovered an attempted break in at a jewellers in the High Street later in the morning. (Incident Number 69 of 14 March).

In a statement, police said: “If you heard or saw anything that might relate to these crimes, please ring our non-emergency phone number on 101, quoting relevant incident numbers and date.

“Thank you for any help you may be able to give.

“Hopefully, someone heard or saw suspicious behaviour which may be linked.”
