Police launch appeal after Gainsborough burglary

An appeal for information has been launched after thieves stole jewellery in a raid on a property in Morton.

On Monday April 19 between 12pm and 3pm offenders are believed to have forced their way into a house in Walkerith Road.

Once inside, they located and stole a large amount of jewellery.

A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police said: “We would like to hear from anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the area at the time, or who may have any information that may assist the enquiry.

"Also, if any second hand shops in the area have suddenly acquired a large amount of jewellery, or if you have been offered it for sale, we would like to hear from you.”
