Hemswell wind farm campaign cash donated to air ambulance
VOCAT (Villages of the Cliff Against Turbines) raised £21,000 to fund a fight to stop RWE Innogy UK building 10 126.5m turbines.
The development was blocked by Secretary of State MP Greg Clark back in September, following an eight-day public inquiry.

And now a cheque for £1,844.39 has been presented to the air ambulance by VOCAT chairman Ernest Coleman at Bishop Norton Village Hall.
Mr Coleman thanked all those who contributed to the fund, and said he was delighted by donors’ overwhelming support for giving the money to the air ambulance charity.
Anne Crawforth, from the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamsire Air Ambulance, said VOCAT’s large contribution would provide at least 18 rescues, with many of those rescued having their lives saved as a result.
