Your views needed to help nature recover across Lincolnshire
From coast and marshes to ancient woodland and heathland, Greater Lincolnshire is home to some of the country’s most important natural landscapes.
Now, residents are being invited to help shape how those precious places are protected and restored for the future.
A new consultation has been launched on the Greater Lincolnshire Local Nature Recovery Strategy (LNRS) — a plan created under the Environment Act 2021 to help reverse decades of habitat loss and protect wildlife.
Lincolnshire County Council is working alongside North Lincolnshire Council, North East Lincolnshire Council and the Greater Lincolnshire Nature Partnership, with support from Natural England, to develop the strategy. The draft plan is now ready to be shared — and public feedback will play a key role in shaping the final version.

Over the last century, many of the county’s natural habitats have declined, with wildlife under increasing pressure. The LNRS aims to identify where nature can recover and thrive, helping to protect biodiversity while benefiting communities and future generations.
Residents can have their say by completing a short survey before before Sunday, March 8 – and those wanting to learn more can also join one of the free online webinars explaining the plans in more detail.
