FLOOD ALERT: Warnings across Notts as rivers rise

The Environment Agency has issued flood alerts in Nottinghamshire as last night's rain continues into today.

Around the River Maun, flooding of low-lying agricultural land and roads is possible at Mansfield, Sherwood Forest Caravan Park at Clipstone, Edwinstowe, Ollerton, Whitewater Lane at Whitewater Bridge and West Drayton. River levels are rising and expected to triple from 0.3 metres to a peak at 0.90 metres tomorrow morning.

Flooding of low-lying agricultural land and roads is possible from some tributaries of the River Trent in Nottinghamshire as heavy rain is forecast over the next six hours. Tributaries in Nottinghamshire including the River Greet, Potwell Dyke, Carr Dyke, Dover Beck, Cocker Beck, Thurgarton Beck, Fairham Brook and others.

And around the River Erewash and tributaries from Kirkby-in-Ashfield to the River Trent at Attenborough risks of flooding continue as waters are expected to rise today.
