GOLF: Native Americans come out on top in Woodhall Spa friendly

Woodhall Spa Golf Club ladies'friendly match was a '˜Cowboys and Indians' affair organised by captain Maureen Gay and vice-captain Jo Burden.

It took place on Thursday in fine weather with blue sky and sunshine.

The Cowboys represented Maureen and the Native Americans played for Jo. Many of the ladies appeared in appropriate, colourful outfits and all enjoyed the game and the scone snack which followed.

This time the Native Americans overcame the Cowboys quite substantially, winning 9-4.
