Lions play their cards right

The bi-annual Bridge Day held by Coningsby & Tattershall Lions was another success, with a warm welcome extended to 52 players.

After the morning session of Bridge a roast beef lunch was served before play resumed.

The winners were Sue Bealby and Judy Evans, with Barry and Leslie Everett taking the runners-up spot; Joyce Barrett and Debbie Locker received the Wooden Spoon prize.

The sum of £565 was raised, which will go towards Lion’s Charities.

One of the charities Coningsby & Tattershall donate towards is “Hope For Tomorrow”, a cancer charity dedicated to bringing treatment closer to patients’ homes.

The mobile chemotherapy unit effectively reduces long distances of travel and waiting times patients often endure and helps them with the stresses and strains of busy Oncology Centres.
