Louth Library kicks off summer challenge

Louth Library has officially launched its annual Summer Reading Challenge and is hoping as many children as possible will come and sign up.

The library has joined forces with The Reading Agency to encourage children to get hooked on books.

The challenge is to read six books during the school holidays. Children of all ages are invited to take part and they can read anything they like. Every child that joins will receive a membership pack, prizes and a special certificate on completion of the challenge.

Plus there will be some weekly activities. Including under-5s storytime on Mondays from 10.30-11am, reading time with Jane and Gracie the therapy dog on Wednesdays, 10-11am, and gaming den sessions for 7 years and over on Fridays from 10am-1pm.
