Messing about on the river at Osgodby
Practically the whole of Osgodby turned out in 1981 to watch the annual boat race.
A whole array of crafts, of different shapes and sizes, were on view as a dozen competitors headed west along the fast-flowing beck towards Kingerby.
The picture shows the land lubbers of all ages watching the crafts launch.
The Rasen Mail of the day also reports one motorist managed to get stuck in deep mud while they were trying to get to the launch site off Washdyke Lane.
