MISTERTON: How about giving something up for Lent?

If a New Year resolution has failed, start again for the '˜40 days of Lent' on Ash Wednesday (February 10).

Think about putting by the money saved on what you give up and donating some, or all, of it to the Parish Church. The money saved can be brought to church on Easter Sunday – or donated at any other convenient time. Lent isn’t just about giving something up – it can also be a time to take up a new challenge.
