Skate park - A lifeline for young people
I read with amazement of the idea to close the Mill Road skate park.
If ever there was a case of a short term view this must be it.
Despite any minor gripes about the place, it must be obvious what a tremendous social asset it is in giving young people that vital sense of pride and purpose at a difficult stage of development.
I found that the moving pleas from riders are proof of its worth.
Beware the unfortunate consequences of closing such lifelines.
