Pause For Thought - Friday 31st January

Disasters, serious accidents, illness and death happen throughout our lives; and I have discovered that being a Christian gives no immunity in life from these occurrences.

When it is close and unexpected, we are shocked, hurt, angry and invariably cry out ‘why.’

‘Why’ will so often take you down dark torturous paths where there are no answers or closure to be found. ‘Why’ will haunt, imprison and cripple you emotionally.

When it happens, instead of ‘why’ pursue ‘what.’ What are we going to do as individuals, as friends and as family.

The answer I found was to care for, embrace and love each other; tighter, longer and stronger.
