With the country coming out of lockdown next Wednesday, plans are to put the event back by one week.

Organiser Rachel Axcell said: “We are breaking with our traditional first Wednesdays for December only in the hopes that we can support all our local traders, essential and non-essential.

“The current plan is to push it back a week to December 9, but this will all depend on what tier we are put into.”

On Monday, prime minister Boris Johnson confirmed a tier system and the rule of six would return after lockdown ends on December 2.

An announcement is expected on the allocation of tier levels tomorrow (Thursday).

Rachel added: “We will keep the Caistor Street Food Market Facebook page up to date, so please check it out.”
