Christmas in schools will be very different this year, but the spirit of the season will continue.

Over the next few weeks, we will be featuring what the schools are doing to mark the festive season.

We start with Tattershall Primary School.

Pupils donned festive jumpers on Friday (December 11) in honour of Christmas Jumper Day 2020.

More than £120 was raised on the day.

Pupils at the school also took part in a nativity - with
performers taking on Everyone Loves A Baby.

Catherine Richardson, Deputy Headteacher, said: “We have had a very exciting day and the smiles on the
children’s faces tell their own story.”

Meanwhile, at The Edward Richardson Primary School, Tetford, pupils from years 2 and 3 have been learning about the polar regions and have been putting their igloo building skills to the test.

Using over 400 plastic milk cartons they designed and built their own version.

Bottles were then squashed down and lids donated to LIVES.

Headteacher Helen Wines said: “Not only did the children have great fun making the igloo, they also learned the importance of
their part in looking after the environment, locally and globally, by reusing and recycling.”
