Have your say on the future of car parking in Gainsborough
West Lindsey District Council is asking residents, businesses, visitors and car park users to share their views as part of its Car Parking 2026 Consultation.
Feedback from the consultation will help the council understand how council-owned car parks in Gainsborough and Market Rasen are used, what improvements could be considered, and how future parking charges can continue to support local communities, town centres and economic growth.
The consultation focuses on council-owned car parks in Gainsborough and Market Rasen, and the council is keen to hear from people who use them regularly, occasionally or while visiting the district.
Residents, businesses, visitors and car park users are encouraged to take a few minutes to share their views before the Car Parking 2026 Consultation closes at 9am on Monday, October 26.

The council’s budget consultation has also started, giving people who live, visit or work in West Lindsey the chance to comment on its approach to setting a balanced budget for 2027 to 2028 and to share their views on Council Tax.
People can take part in the consultation online at Car Park Consultation and it closes at 9am on Wednesday, September 30.
Coun Peter Morris, chairman of the Thriving Places Committee, said: “Car parks play an important role in supporting our town centres, local businesses and communities.
“We want to hear from the people who use them so we can better understand what works well, what could be improved and how parking provision can support our district in the years ahead.”
“This is an important opportunity for residents, businesses, visitors and car park users to help shape future parking arrangements in Gainsborough and Market Rasen.”
