Coun Adrian Findley said he was taking his daily exercise with his partner, Sarah, and their Jack Russel pup along Seaview Walk, expecting to enjoy the sunrise.

"I can honestly say it was a beautiful morning down at the water's edge, until we moved up into the untouched sand that the sea hadn't reached," he said.

"It also angered me to realise that if there are very few visitors at Skegness at the moment, this has to be the disrespectful actions of local residents.

"Since I expressed my anger on social media, I have received many similar complaints.

"I am now urging people to report anyone seen allowing their dog to foul the area and not pick up after it to report the incident to East Lindsey District Council."
