Brigg residents joined visitors on a walk to publicise the Saturday-only train service on a line which is being increasingly used during this summer.

Leading the walk was Stuart Parker, area secretary of Lincolnshire Ramblers, and, after looking round Brigg, they walked along the river and across fields to Kirton Lindsey, before catching the late afternoon train back. Paul Johnson, chairman of the Brigg Line Group, met the ramblers and walked into Brigg with them.

“We have been making every effort to publicise the train service, and it is seems numbers using the service are increasing,” he said.
