10k race filling up

The Worksop Guardian Towpath and Trail 10k is filling up fast, with over 200 entries already.

Clowne Roadrunners are organisers of the event, which takes place on 19th May at Shireoaks Bowling Club.

The race committee have set a limit of 325 entrants, and expect to reach full capacity. A spokesman for the committee told the Guardian: “We’re predicting that the race will fill up, so anyone thinking of running is advised to enter as soon as possible.” For details on how to enter please visit the Clowne Road Runners website at www.clowneroadrunners.org

Entries for the 5k fun run will be accepted on the day, with no lower or upper age limit, and a fee of just £2.

Last year’s race was won by one of the host club’s star runners, Gareth Lowe in a time of 33.21.
