They earned victory over James Newton and Geoff Short in the final.

In the ladies’ section, Rachel Atkinson and Rachel Gedney were relieved to get to the winning end of a tough match against Helen Duckett and Lesley Gibbons.

The match went down to the wire and, despite trailing, the two Rachels managed to be first past the post.

In the mini green three section, youngsters George Skipworth, Alayna Buswell and Bonnie Haywood were competing to come through the qualifying stages.
