Athletes brave winter weather

The event started with a 10km run, followed by a 40km bike ride and a 5km run to the finish line.

Mark Wheeler and Chris Reader were certainly challenged by the event and conditions.

They had to cycle against a strong north wind with temperatures of -6 degrees.

However, Chris finished 71st overall and 15th in his age group and Mark was 203rd overall and 44th in his age group.

Results: Chris Reader: 2:16-54 (40-05, 1:14-55, 18-56); Mark Wheeler: 2:34-15 (44-40, 1:21-31, 22-31).
