Lindum win takes Premier Division title race to the wire
Having lost to Lindum at Heslam Park earlier in the season, Lincolnshire Premier Cricket League leaders Scunthorpe Town travelled to St Giles Avenue looking to reverse that result.
But it was not to be as Lindum, languishing in the bottom half of the league, once again overcame the top team to leave the title chase going to the wire.

Scunthorpe were invited to bat and found runs hard to come by.
After 27 overs, the score had reached only 81-3 but Ben Conroy and Henry Wilson added 41 and Wilson (51) and Harry Doyle shared a stand of 44 for the sixth wicket.
When Doyle was out for 22 the score was 182-8 with just seven balls to go and one more wicket fell as Scunthorpe finished on 190-9.
Lindum got off to a better start, Will Wright and Rory Grieve putting on 43 for the first wicket and Max Cartledge, who had earlier taken three wickets, joining Wright in a second wicket stand of 103.
Cartledge was bowled by Callum Mann for 42 in the 39th over and Mann also bowled the new batsmen with his next ball, leaving Lindum needing 44 runs off the last 10 overs.
Wright took the score to 170 with Oscar Styring and, having taken the valuable wicket of Priyanshu Khanduri in the first innings, finished unbeaten on 100 as Lindum claimed victory with two overs spare.
This pushed Scunthorpe off the top of the table as rivals Bourne easily overcame third place Sleaford in a match lasting just 40 overs.
Having reached 20 without loss, Sleaford then saw wickets fall at regular intervals against a strong Bourne bowling line-up.
Jack Berry took 5-25 as the home side were all out for 92, a total Bourne knocked off for the loss of two wickets, Sam Evison hitting an unbeaten 40.
This means the Premier Division title will go right to the wire when Bourne entertain Scunthorpe at Abbey Lawn in the last match of the season on Saturday.
Elsewhere, in the bottom of the table clash, Spalding reduced Grantham from 56 without loss to 126 all out, a total the hosts reached for the loss of three wickets, Divyeash Vaseeharan hitting 55 not out.
However, with sides above them winning this was not enough to move Spalding up the table and they now face relegation along with Grantham.
Tayyab Tahir hit six off the last ball of the innings to reach 100 not out in Woodhall Spa’s game at Grimsby Town.
After a steady start, Spa’s batsmen went on a run spree, Ollie Caswell hitting 34 off 32 balls and Harry Hollingsworth launching four sixes in his innings of 41, both backing up Tahir as the visitors ended on 268-5.
Grimsby had no answer to this and were all out for 119, Harrison Unsworth top-scoring with 30.
A low-scoring game at Cross O’Cliff Court saw Burghley Park bowl Bracebridge Heath out for 102, only to be bowled out themselves for 96, Alex Clegg taking 5-21 for the home side.
Despite losing to Cleethorpes seconds, Messingham gained enough points to secure the Championship North title, while Market Deeping celebrated their success in Championship South with victory over Moulton Harrox.
Newborough finish runners-up after Jack Stokes hit an unbeaten 124 in their victory over Boston.
Outcasts need 16 points from their last two game to be sure of winning Division One North while Long Sutton and Freiston are left to battle it out for Division One South after both won but challengers Billingborough lost.
The top spot could be decided on Saturday when Freiston host Long Sutton.
