Sleaford’s bowlers shared the wickets, with G. Goddard and M. Ross both picking up two, while the rest of the attack worked hard to keep the scoring in check.

In reply, Sleaford made strong early progress and reached 200 inside 38 overs, but ultimately fell just short.

M. Mills top-scored with 52, while Ketton’s victory was secured by an effective bowling performance led by M McDevitt’s 4-40.

Sleaford’s first team begin their Premier Division campaign away at Woodhall Spa this Saturday.

Sleaford's Sunday 1st XI produced a polished all-round performance to claim a comfortable win over Nettleham Sunday firsts at Sleaford on Sunday.

Asked to bat first, Nettleham never truly settled as disciplined bowling kept the scoring in check. Ahmed Ali’s 31 and Oliver Ward’s 21 offered brief resistance, but regular pressure from the home side prevented any meaningful momentum and the visitors were held to a modest total.

Sleaford made light work of the reply. Harry Bailey struck a commanding 59, setting the tone with a fluent innings, while Olly Sneath added a composed 48 to steer the chase safely home.

The target was reached without alarm, sealing a convincing victory.

It was a clinical display from Sleaford, combining control with the ball and calm authority with the bat.

The club would like to thank sponsors Bulmer Installations and Turnbull’s for their continued support.
