Put into bat, Spa made a commanding 268-5, Pakistan international Tayyab Tahir not out with 100, Harry Hollingsworth scoring 41, George Pocklington and Ollie Caswell 34 apiece and Prasanna Jaywardene 25.

In their run spree, Tahir hit six off the last ball of the innings to reach his century, Caswell struck 34 off 32 balls and Hollingsworth launched four sixes.

Spa then took 33.3 overs to dismiss the home side for 119.

Harrison Unsworth top-scoring with 30 and Alex King (3-37) and Pocklington (3-18) sharing six of the wickets to fall.

Spa's second team also enjoyed a 55 run victory over Heckington in Division One South. Sam Cooke scored 29 in a Spa total of 172-9, Ross Evans taking 3-38.

But the visitors were bowled out for 117, despite Robbie Townsend's 56, Oliver Steadman taking 3-20 and Matthew Haslam 3-15.

In Division Two North there was another big win as struggling Horncastle triumphed by 103 runs against Grimsby Town seconds to keep their survival hopes alive.

Muhammad Afzal struck 65 of their 198-9, Chris Bargh contributing 37, Muhammad Abbas finishing with 4-31.

Grimsby then found themselves all back in the pavilion for 99, Iain Davey helping himself to 3-23.

In Division Three Central, Horncastle second team lost by two wickets in a low-scoring game at Cherry Willington seconds.

N. Whiting scored 46 of their 116 total before Willingham made a winning 117-8, Steve West taking 5-21 and opener Joshua Haywood unbeaten on 51.

Having lost to Lindum at Heslam Park earlier in the season, Premier League leaders Scunthorpe Town travelled to St Giles Avenue looking to reverse that result.

But it was not to be as Lindum, languishing in the bottom half of the league, once again overcame the top team.

This pushed Scunthorpe off the top of the table as rivals Bourne easily overcame third place Sleaford in a match lasting just 40 overs.

It means the Premier Division title will go right to the wire when Bourne entertain Scunthorpe at Abbey Lawn in the last match of the season on Saturday.
