The day started with a hail storm and then the showers came often throughout the visit, but never once was a game abandoned, although the club house was visited on a regular basis for a warm drink and another slice of cake during the intervals between each round of games.

The day ended in a very close final score of Woodhall Spa winning 54 hoops against 51 for Norwich.

All players then visited a local hostelry to enjoy a meal together and continue the friendship, before returning home in some of the best weather of the day.
