Boston United fans are being encouraged to raise funds for the club... by taking part a picture perfect challenge.

Fan Scott Walden has launched the Pilgrim Pixels scheme, which also offers supporters the chance to win prizes and the chance to name dedications at the new ground while aiding the club.

The premise is simple. A picture of the club's new Jakemans Community Stadium has been covered by 4,000 individual pixels.

Each pixel costs £1 to remove.

Funds raised will be used to purchase items from the club's Building Together scheme.

For every £200 raised, one entry will be randomly chosen to name a brick or seat at the under-construction stadium.

The remaining £100 will be added to the coffers to buy larger items for the new stadium.

Other prizes will be randomly drawn throughout thanks to the support from local businesses such as Games Central, Sprinkles by Lucy and Yellowbelly SUP School.

"It just came from thinking about fundraising ideas," said Walden, who took inspiration from the Million Dollar Homepage.

"I then tried to tie it in with the new stadium. I wanted to make it affordable to all, hence pixels being only £1 each."

At present the scheme has raised more than £700.
