Sleaford Town Reserves climbed on to the shoulders of Market Rasen Town with a single goal victory at Rase Park, while Louth Town made the most ground, climbing into fifth place thanks to a solitary goal victory over Sleaford Sports Amateurs.

Lincoln Moorlands Railway earned the local bragging rights when they hit four goals past Newark Road rivals Ruston Sports, and Wyberton bagged their first victory since the departure of former manager Gary Frost with a 2-0 success at CGB Humbertherm.

In the Challenge Cup quarter-finals, Brigg Town Reserves needed penalties to see off bottom club Harrowby United Reserves, Skegness Town completed a league and cup treble over Immingham Town, Horncastle Town edged it against second placed Grimsby Borough Reserves, and Nettleham stung local rivals and holders Hykeham Town.

A solitary Edward Robinson goal earned Sleaford Town’s second string their fifth league win of the season and their third consecutive success.

The valuable three points lifted the Greens above neighbours Sleaford Sports Amateurs in the table.

Andrew Hunter’s first goal of the season was enough to secure three points at home to Sleaford Sports Amateurs.

It was a disappointing result for the Sleaford side after their success against high-riding Hykeham the previous week.

And injury worries mounted for the visitors during this latest defeat at Saltfleetby.
