Park beat eight man Thorne

Kiveton Park picked up a valuable three points, after their 2-1 win at Thorne FC on Saturday.

Park started on the front foot, forcing Thorne back from the kick-off. The breakthrough came in the fifth minute when Steve McDonnall dribbled past three defenders before being brought down by a fourth inside the box.

McDonnell calmly slotted the spot kick home.

On 22 minutes, Carless putMcDonnell clear and he smashed in a second.

Park were caught out when a cross was headed back into the penalty area for Darren Fell to nod home and make the half time score 1-2.

The second half was dominated by Thorne until their centre forward was sent off on 70 minutes.

Before the final whistle two more home players were red carded, following a 22-man dispute.
