Stoke Rochford keep up the standards despite difficult conditions

During September the Ladies of Stoke Rochford Golf Club have completed two more competitions in mixed weather conditions.

After one week of glorious sunshine the weather deteriorated and the Ladies Wednesday medal was played in very mixed weather, but some ladies were able to play very good golf and the medal was won by Michelle Watkin with a marvellous score of nett 69.

Second was Jane White with nett 73 and third was Sheila Dugmore with nett 75.

The next competition was the Chandler Bowl, this was a pairs better ball stableford competition with a draw for playing partners.

The day was very windy and extremely cold, nevertheless some good scores were achieved.

The winners were Chris Rowley and Michelle Watkin who came in with a score of 38 points, in second place on count back were Amanda Lewis and Sue Taylor with 37 points.

Apart from the weather being so cold the ladies all had a good day out on the golf course.
