Hallgates' basket win

Hallgate earned a strong victory against Skegness Grammar School in the Skegness Netball League.

After an even start, Lyndsay Ramsay started the scoring off for Hallgate with a beautiful first shot.

Despite havingonly six players, Hallgate started to dominate the first quarter, but SGS kept pushing hard with the help of their experienced player Emma Shelbourn.

Going in to the second quarter, Lyndsay’s shooting continued to impress, extending Hallgates lead.

At 10-3 down SGS were moving well in court and their defence remained strong.

At half time the score was 11-4 to Hallgate, with Sarah Jayne Smith providing a strong goal attack, creating space with strong passes in from centre.

In the final quarter SGS took the first centre pass, but Hallgate’s defence proved too strong for them to convert it into a goal.

Hallgate’s seventh player turned up with only five minutes to spare but they had already sealed the game with a strong 21-8 win.
