Jack Layton qualified his Anderson/DEA kart on pole, over three seconds ahead of the rest of the field. He followed this up with a race one win and second place finishes in race two and three which gives him the overall win and sees him leading the 2016 MSA British Championship.

Barry Weston was in the top 10 before contact forced his retirement, whilst Tom Hatfield recorded two top 10 finishes of eighth and seventh, and 12th in the third race. Adam Edgecombe registered three respectable results of 13th, 11th and 10th.

Parker Motorsport was represented by two new drivers in the BSA Cup championship with east of England driver Mark Newton from March enjoying three top three finishes to be awarded second place overall in the championship. Joe Hawkins completed all three of his races.

Team spokesman Stuart Parker commented: “I would like to thank all of my drivers for the effort they put in over the weekend to bring some excellent results back to the team; it makes it all worthwhile. I also have to thank all the mechanics for their efforts over the winter as they all pulled together to make this weekend run so smoothly.”

The Parker Motorsport team is now looking forward to the next full meeting at Snetterton on May 7-8 but meanwhile will return to Silverstone for the first round of the British 125 Championship over the weekend of April 23-24.
