K&S too powerful for youngsters in netball league

K&S showed their experience in the Skegness Netball League, beating the youngsters from Micronclean Juniors 38-3, despite only having five players available.

K&S got off to a good start by scoring three quick goals in the first minute, thanks to a number of great interceptions.

Although there were some lovely feeds into the shooting circle from Micronclean’s centre court towards the end of the first quarter, they couldn’t get the better of the strong K&S defence or the rebounds which came their way.

Taking a 10-0 lead into the second quarter, K&S discovered Micronclean had a much tighter defence.

In the third quarter a number of interceptions by Micronclean’s defence allowed the ball to be moved up the length of the court through a number of accurate passes from the centre court players, helping Micronclean scored a fantastic goal from near to the outside of the D.

However, K&S’ strength continued and they ran out comfortable victors against the young opposition.
