Louth Snooker: Building Supplies stay top despite defeat

In the Town and Country Group of the Jubilee Snooker Knock-out, Louth Building Supplies stayed top despite a 7-5 home defeat to Louth Travel Centre.

Tom Williams and Warren Smith put the hosts 4-0 up, only for Pete Willoughby, Brian Copeland and Jim Ingham to complete a terrific comeback win which moved them up to third in the group.

GRS Electrical Services sit second after beating Sibjon Builders 8-4 with Ian Winn, Dave Evans and Donald Green all winning for the visitors. Dave Johnson responded for the hosts.

In the Group’s other match, NT Shaw Citroen defeated Top Lads 9-3 with Andre Fisher, Ian Cook and Lee Cook all winning for the visitors.

* J Melton Painters top Conservative Club Group after a 7-5 win against Dales Poultry and Game.

Wes Burton proved the difference between the two teams.

In the other match, Harness and Cooper won 8-4 against Kitchen Solutions with Dave Revell, Andy Dunn and Barry Dalton on form for the hosts, while Chris Parker picked up two consolation frames.

* Moran Travel are currently top of the Billiards Knock-out, after winning 3-0 at ABC Riding Wear.

Harry Putland, Keith Sowter and Ray Charlton all won for the visitors.

Naulls and Dales moved into second on aggregate after winning 3-0 thanks to Mark Storey, Jack Westerby and Phil Marshall.

In the week’s other game, MA Stephenson’s Auto’s edged New Team 2-1. Andre Fisher and Hayden Gavey won for the hosts, while Warren Smith pulled a frame back for the visitors.
