Carlton Road beat Breakaways to maintain their seven-point lead, but Eastenders remain hot on their heels after defeating Jolly Farmers.

Third-placed Invaders beat A40 as Chantal Spencer, Liam Reeson and Scott Whyers won 26-8.

Teammates Ian Tebbs, Andrew Dunnington and Adam Hodgson were in serious trouble against Jake Hewinson, Pauline Richardson and Jean Cammack when they trailed 15-6 at 11 ends, but they pulled back to win 21-19 courtesy of a hot shot during the penultimate end.

Holland Fen won by a wide margin as they met Boston Park. Skips Richard Vinter and Brian Boucher returned with winning scorecards of 24-14 and 29-12.

Punchbowlers and Red 5 had a very close game with the lower team Red 5 winning the game 34-33 overall for four points.

IBC were never behind against the Parthians.

Steve Shaw, Richard Toy and Tony Powell built up an uncatchable lead in the early stages and finished winning 27-13.
