P.H. Mountain Cardboard Services take Louth Billiards and Snooker League title

P.H.Mountain Cardboard Services have retained the Summer Snooker League title.

They picked up a hard-fought 4-4 draw with second-placed Kitchen Solutions to seal the Louth Billiards & Snooker League crown.

The hosts got off to a great start with Mark Pickard potting them in front in their bid to secure the runners-up prize, but they will have to wait as Matt Chandler drew the leaders level to clinch their second successive title.

Kitchen Solutions and Louth Volksworld are tied in second going into the final week.

Volksworld rekindled their interest in second spot with a 7-1 home win over Saltfleetby Snooker Club.

Colin Stirton, Simon Overton and Keith Lewington all won for the hosts, who will probably need a win against the unbeaten champions to take the runners-up prize. Stuart Wood grabbed the visitors’ consolation frame.

Dales Poultry & Game came out 5-3 winners in their away trip to N.T.Shaw of Louth, Jez Swaby and Phil Marshall both won for the visitors, this after Lee Cook had driven his side in front.

In the Billiards Teams Knockout Faulkners Louth Ltd have finally entered the chase for a top two finish and what a way to do it a superb 3-0 away win over last week’s leaders ABC Riding Wear, Ray Charlton, Joe Tomkins and Luke Howard were all on form to leave their side a point behind the top spot.

Naulls & Dales have the leadership once again courtesy of their splendid 3-0 home success over M.A.Stephenson Autos, Mark Pickard, Mark Storey and Phil Marshall all got to the 150 point just before their opponents as this cup group gets tighter.
