Simpson finds his doubles

Mark Simpson found the doubles to beat Debra Royal 4-0 in the Friday Night Darts League's BSC Premiership.

A 180 and a 143 finish from Darren Aucote helped towards a 4-0 win over Kev Lenton (pictured).

Also checking well was Chris Royal, who included a 108 on his way to a 4-0 win over Pete Grooby .

Kev Lenton returned to the oche to face Dave Holland, Kev checking the better to battle out a 4-2 win.

Dave Hasnip was very solid and consistent against a battling Phil Odlin, averaging 26.02 for a 4-0 win, including a 180.

Both leader Joby Booth and Darren Aucote picked off 180s, but Joby finished the better, including a 117, to set up a 4-1 win.

In the Pizza Perfection Championship, Harry Lee pounded the trebles against Jimmy Birtwistle, picking off two 180s and finishing well to win 3-1.

Paul Taylor picked up a good 3-1 win over Rob Scrupps, Ben Bagley played well to beat Trev Day 3-1 and Mick Flynn took a good 3-0 win over Wally Almond.

Wally was back to play Paul Taylor in a close match that Paul edged to win 3-0.

Trev Day hit a 180 in his match against Rob Cade and checked well to see out the match 3-1.

In the All Sports Trophies & Engraving Division Two, Marcus Hales and Bradley Butler battled out a five-legger, Marcus taking the match 3-2.

Another five-legger followed between Aaron Upsall and Mark Baily, Aaron victorious with a 19.91 average.

The battle of the sisters saw Emma Grant take on Alison Royal, with little sis Emma coming out on top 3-0.

Dennis Turner took on Jason Lammyman in a closely fought C&C TV Division Three three-legger, Jason winning to go fourth.

Suzy Watson is now second after picking up a narrow 2-1 victory agains Muriel Almond.

Jodie Royal beat Louise Turner 2-1 and league leader Callum Day defeated Brian Wilkinson 2-1.
