Two Trent Valley Road Club cyclists were in open time trial action in April.

Paul Brownless completed in Birdwell Wheelers’ 25 mile time trial and finished in 64mins 42secs, while Mike Overton finished Scunthorpe Road Club’s 19 mile trial in 62mins 1sec.

Tuesday’s club time trial was on the East Ferry circuit.

Results: 1st P. Brownlees 24.36, 2nd S. Pycroft 26.27, 3rd I. Ferraby 27.25, 4th R.Jaques 27.48, 5th M. Overton 30.07, 6th J. Girven 32.21.

Thursday saw the first in the summer circuit series.

In the five-mile scratch race Trent Valley results were: 1st S. Pycroft, 2nd J. Atkinson, 3rd J. Hodson, 4th M. Overton.

This Sunday the club promotes the second of its come and try it time trials on a 5.6mile circuit, starting on Laughton Lane at 10am.
