Trophy triumph for Rasen ladies

The Ladies of Market Rasen Golf Club saw the final of the Winter League Trophy played last Wednesday.

It was a very hard-fought contest between the pairs of Bridget Holmes and Aileen Sellers and Rosemarie Lawton and Jackie Parker.

After some extremely good golf the eventual winners were Bridget and Aileen, their sixth success.

The winners of the Winter League collected the trophy from captain Helen Grinham.

Also played on the same day was the St David’s Waltz.

With a good score of 75 points, the winners were Glenys Cairney and Sue Archer.

In second place with 72 points were Helen Wilson, Helen Gibbard and Rita Garner, while third went to Sheilah Mitchell, Barbara Laing and Lorna Moore with 66 points.
