The day school is open to all and will be held, from 9.45am to 4.30pm on Saturday April 9 in Market Rasen Primary School.

Jonathan Willcocks, the son of the conductor and composer the late Sir David Willcocks, has a world-wide reputation as a composer and conductor.

‘A Great and Glorious Victory’ was commissioned to mark the bicentenary of the battle of Trafalgar in October 2005 and will be part of Grimsby Philharmonic Society’s next concert, on April 23.

Any singers, male or female, are welcome to go along to the day school.

“Anyone who has sung Rutter’s Requiem before will know what a rewarding experience it is - and for those who have not, the day school will give an opportunity to try it” said choral society member Thea Hogg
