Sleaford’s Poppy Prom returns for 21st year

The Sleaford & District Branch of the Royal British Legion is to hold its 21st annual Poppy Concert performed by The Sleaford Concert Band.

The venue will again be in the hall at St George’s Academy, Sleaford on Saturday, October 24, at 7pm under the conductorship of Paul Emmett, who has chosen a varied and entertaining musical programme showing the prowess of the many talented musicians in the band.

The concert will conclude with a Prom style finale where flag waving is essential and flags will be provided on the night.

Branch members hope that the public will come along and enjoy a fabulous concert and “unashamed patriotism”, designed to raise funds and provide an evening of entertainment by the outstanding local concert band.
