Louth Mayor joins line dance at fun-packed care home hoedown
Thrilled residents at a Louth care home got a taste of the Wild West this summer when the mayor joined them for a traditional Hoedown.

Councillor Karen Parsons hit the dance floor with other revellers at Madeira House Care Home on High Holme Road to step up for line dancing.

Entertainer Jayme-Leigh certainly got the USA memo as she turned up in cowgirl costume and sang a fantastic selection of country classics, along with other favourites.
Residents were delighted by her performance and loved trying a spot of American moves as they got their hoedown on.

Visitor Sue Harvey said, “We had a lovely afternoon. Well done to all the hardworking staff for making the day so enjoyable for all the residents, families and friends. Thanks to Jayme-leigh for the great musical entertainment"
Fellow visitor Ryan Webster added: “Amazing day – bring on the next one.”
The fun-filled event is the latest in a series of community events the Advinia Healthcare home has put on for their local friends and neighbours.
They want to extend a warm welcome to people who are feeling isolated and are looking for the chance to socialise, enjoy activities and music.
Happily, the guests were made to feel right at home at Madeira House for the hoedown, with singer Jayme-Leigh praising the efforts made by colleagues.
Jayme-Leigh, who takes her Memories in Music show across all kinds of different venues, said: “I had the most amazing time performing - the residents were wonderful, and the atmosphere was just fantastic from start to finish.
“I also want to say a special thank you to every single member of staff. You were all so welcoming, kind, and supportive throughout the day. It was lovely to see how hard you all work to care for the residents while still making time to sing, dance, laugh, and make everyone smile.
“It was an absolute pleasure to be a part of your day.”
